Review: THE ENFIELD HORROR by Ron RipleyI've been captivated by this author since devouring THE BOYLAN HOUSE TRILOGY. THE ENFIELD HORROR is the first of a trilogy also, set in a bleak New Hampshire landscape where the residents are hardened and taciturn from decades of hard winters, and a failing economy. Up in the woods, violent storms have uncovered a long-abandoned hunting lodge. Abandoned, but not uninhabited, the lodge appears newer and newer, attracting the attention of hikers. Unfortunately for area residents, that which had been confined deep inside the lodge has now been released, and it's very, very hungry.
THE ENFIELD HORROR presents an entity new to me, sentient and willful. I anticipate the next entries in the trilogy.

More like sample chapters from a full length novel, and not complete enough to be a proper short story. It's well written and shows promise. I may check out the next two instalments if they're reasonably priced.
Not the type of book that I would normally have read! That being said I was unable to put the book down!!! I've been waiting for the new one to come out since I finished Blood Contact!! Excited to read the rest of the story.
I received the book for free for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed another series from this author. This book, although not really what I would normally read (I really do not like mythical monsters, etc.), was entertaining. Of course another short story with a cliffhanger but entertaining, decent writing and decent editing.
Captivating and terrifying all at once. This is a story about a mythical Japanese dragon that is on the rampage munching up people throughout New England. If you like horror stories, you will like this. Well written, easy to follow, and all around well done. I enjoyed my sample, and I must read more!
Not ehat I expected, disappointed.
If you love horror you need to get your hands on this book. Or any thing written by Ron Ripley. I got hooked from the word go and could not put the book down. I will get the trilogy and then devour the next two books. If i were you i would just buy all three. Than do not plan on doing anything but read until you were done.
I really don't care for stories that are about evil creatures. I suppose the story was well written as Mr. Ripley wrote it. But not to my liking.
